My new flat in Kaikhali, North Kolkata, is ready, but the builder won’t give me an occupancy certificate. I’ve paid almost all the money. What legal options do I have to make the builder give me the certificate?
You can send a legal notice to the builder demanding the occupancy certificate and threatening legal action if it's not provided within a specified time. You can also file a complaint with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and/or the West Bengal Real Estate Regulatory Authority (WB-RERA) for non-compliance.
