My wife and her father tried several times to get my father’s property registered in our child’s name. When they didn’t succeed, she left our home nine months ago. I’ve tried contacting her, but she’s ignoring me. Even for our child’s birthday, I invited her, but she didn’t respond. I miss my child terribly and my life has been very difficult since. What legal steps can I take to see my child? I’d be very grateful for any advice.

You can file a consumer complaint with the Consumer Forum seeking a refund of your investment, compensation for the delay and mental agony, and legal costs. Alternatively, you can approach the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for redressal as the delay exceeds the promised timeframe, and RERA has the power to order refund or other remedies.
