My husband and I are both 45 years old. He’s Indian, and I’m an Indian-American citizen. He has a daughter in India who’s 18 years old. I can only sponsor my husband for a Green Card. Once he gets it, he can sponsor his daughter, but she’ll be over 21 by then. If she’s married in India, how long would it usually take for her Green Card application to be processed? Also, how long does it typically take for an Indian child to receive a Green Card application after their Green Card-holding father files for them?

Your past divorce in 2012 should not affect your visa application to the USA. Indian law does not recognize “mutual understanding” as a legal basis for divorce, so you would have likely obtained a divorce through a court order. The US immigration authorities primarily focus on the legal status of your current marital situation.
