- Draft the Complaint. Include details like complainant and opposite party details, facts of the case, relief sought, signature of the complainant
- Collect documents like receipts, warranties, and any prior communication with the seller.
- Pay the fees depending on the claim amount. For items up to ₹5 lakhs requires no fee. Moreover, for items from ₹5 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs fees can add up to ₹200. Lastly, for items that cost more than 10 lakes, the fee would be 400 rs.
- Submit in person or online at the appropriate consumer forum, attaching all supporting documents.
- After submission, a hearing date will be set, and both parties will be notified.
- Present your case; failure to attend may result in an unfavourable decision.
